PATTI GOLDMAN
Patti Goldman is Senior Associate Director for Federal Relations at the American Hospital Association, where she has lobbied the House and Senate since 1984. Her current responsibilities include Medicare inpatient hospital payment, Graduate Medical Education, privacy and confidentiality, and health information technology. She also covers the House Ways and Means and Senate Finance Committees. In the past, she has been responsible for Medicare outpatient and post-acute payment issues. In addition to her Washington activities for AHA, she serves as grassroots liaison to the hospitals in the six New England states and the allied state hospital associations.
Prior to joining AHA, Patti worked on the Hill as legislative assistant to Rep. Margaret Heckler (R-MA) and Rep. Byron Dorgan (D-ND). Before coming to Washington, she taught high school history and political science in Massachusetts.
She is a member of the board of the David A. Winston Health Policy Fellowship. She earned her law degree and a bachelor’s degree in history from Boston University, and her master’s degree in American Studies from Boston College.
